While the idea for the next film in the franchise and who the next 007 will be remains unclear, Nolan’s involvement in it now has a confirmation.

Christopher Nolan confirms his stance on James Bond

In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Christopher Nolan addressed the rumors of a new James Bond film. During the conversation, the interviewer asked him about his plans now that the SAG-AFTRA strike ended. While she expected him to say that he was working on plans for another spy thriller, he said, “Sadly, no. No truth to those rumors.”

Although that was his only mention of the franchise, Nolan confirmed that he was glad that the strike was over so he could get back to work. While the director’s revelation might shatter a lot of hopes and dreams that fans had, it could mean that he is ready to jump back into sci-fi films. Moreover, the producers, the Brocolli Family, are still figuring out the next chapter for Bond, which doesn’t leave Nolan much to work on anyway.

But the idea for the film is not the only thing up in the air because we are yet to get the next 007 despite actors like Henry Cavill and Aaron Taylor Johnson being in the running for the role.
