Returning this year with Wednesday, Ortega recently shared her special directorial plans that she has been dreaming of for a long time.

On May 16, Jenna Ortega is arriving on screens with Hurry Up Tomorrow, and for this upcoming project, she has collaborated with famous musician The Weeknd. Recently, the two featured in an exclusive piece for V Magazine in which they took each other’s interviews. When the singer asked Ortega if she was working on something that is original, the actress revealed her plans of directing a script she has kept for a long time. “I have a script that I’ve known that I was going to make for almost 10 years.”
Adding more to it, Jenna Ortega shared that she finds it weird because it is something that she thought of when she was younger and started out in acting, and it is only now that she is actually starting to take the steps to bring it to life. Ortega shared that she is learning how to produce, and being a part of other big projects has taught her so much about it. She understands that there is so much that goes on behind the scenes that she was not aware of. Now she is putting the puzzle pieces together in her head.
Though this dream is a thing of the future, right now Jenna Ortega has two big releases on her hands.
Jenna Ortega to make a splash with Wednesday and Hurry Up Tomorrow
These days, Jenna Ortega’s schedule is tightly packed with massive upcoming releases. One of the most anticipated arrivals on Netflix, the second season of Wednesday, is coming back to haunt our screens soon. The teaser trailer was released a few days ago and has created a buzz all around. Though it will drop in two thrilling parts: Episodes 1-4 will be released on August 6, and Episodes 5-8 will follow on September 3, and its original star cast is expected to return.

While Wednesday is still at an arm's length, Ortega is ready to captivate the audience with Hurry Up Tomorrow. Besides Ortega, the upcoming drama will be starring Barry Keoghan and Abel Tesfaye, and promises an exciting mix of tension and intrigue, which is a screen adaptation of The Weeknd’s sixth album with the same name. But after all these commitments, fans would love to see Ortega in her passion project soon.
